It’s likely a situation that every car owner has encountered. When the weather gets cold, and frost accumulates, pouring antifreeze may slip our minds, leaving us with a necessity to drive with dirty windows. In such a case, we have prepared some advice on what to do:
- You can keep your car in a warm garage or parking space. Of course, this solution may not be feasible for everyone.
- Warm (not hot!) water. It will melt the ice inside, and the windshield wipers will start working again.
- In some car models, windshield washer nozzles can be easily removed. You can take them off, place them in a warm location, wait for the ice to melt, and then put them back. That’s it! It should work again.
- Some services offer special defrosting fluids. Using them can help solve the problem more easily and quickly.
And that’s it. After performing these procedures, don’t forget to add antifreeze. Otherwise, you might have to go through these solutions again from the beginning.”
